Proofreading is the single most important task before you submit your resume to an employer or college committee. The smallest typo on your resume, cover letter, or other application materials might prevent you from getting an interview.
Your resume should be:
- Free of grammatical errors
- Consistent with punctuation, spacing, bullets and bullet styles
- Use correct verb tense
- Using proper use of homophones
